Our ASHEN leather hat is a matter of the heart not only for Bushmen, but also for their so-called ‘weaker‘ halves. As always, this hat is handmade in South Africa. All the imperfections you‘ll find on it are just the precious seal imprinted on it by human hands. It honours the traditional hand-crafting techniques of South African national park ranger hats, but you can take this piece anywhere. On the hat you‘ll find a woven leather cord and ventilation holes. The leather is first-class processed and its softness will surprise you. Likewise, the burnt BUSHMAN logo, which together with the soft shade of the leather, creates an interesting contrast.

Our Responsibility to You
At BUSHMAN, product safety and quality are our top priorities. In accordance with the new European Union General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 (GPSR), we ensure that all our products placed on the market after December 13, 2024, meet the required safety and information standards.

Product identification
Each BUSHMAN product is clearly identified by its style and colour number and production period. These markings allow for easy traceability in the event of a complaint or safety incident.

Materials and safety
• Composition: We list the exact fibre content for each product in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 1007/2011 on the labelling of textile fibres
• Chemical safety: We use materials that meet the requirements of Regulation (EU) No. 1907/2006 (REACH)
• Certification: Many of our materials are tested and certified according to the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

Product care
Proper care extends the life of your clothing and ensures its safe use:
• Wash inside out at 30°C on a gentle cycle, or at 40°C if specified for the specific product
• Do not use bleach or fabric softener
• Do not tumble dry or dry clean
• For dark-coloured clothing, we recommend washing separately for the first time due to possible colour loss
• After use, please dispose of the clothing in a textile container

Warranty and returns
All our products are covered by a 2-year statutory warranty within the European Union and EEA. We also offer the option of returning or exchanging goods purchased from our e-shop within 14 days of purchase.We also offer the option of return or exchange within 30 days of purchase.

Declaration of Conformity
We hereby confirm that our products comply with the requirements of:
