Not all Modal is the same, or the advantages of TENCEL™ fibres

  • Modal (TENCEL™) are regenerated cellulose fibres obtained from natural raw materials—wood—from controlled or certified sources. TENCEL™ is a registered trademark of Lenzing AG.
  • The fibres are exceptionally soft and very pleasant to the skin. Modal (TENCEL™) fibres have brilliant colour and luster and are highly flexible, resulting in a naturally soft and long-lasting fabric quality.
  • Thanks to the smooth cross-section of the fibres, this type of Modal improves the softness of the fabric and allows the fibres to withstand repeated washing and drying cycles. Blending Modal (TENCEL™) with other fibres significantly improves the softness of fabrics and increases overall comfort.
  • These fibres help minimize environmental impact. The Modal (TENCEL™) production process is based on highly resource-efficient technology with a high degree of chemical regeneration. According to Higg MSI, carbon emissions and water consumption in the production of these fibres are at least 50% lower compared to generic Modal fibres.
