With respect for Nature and people, BUSHMAN has been developing its collections for 27 years. We seek out and utilize new technologies and methods that allow us to reduce the environmental impact of our products. One of these is the WASHED OUT DESATURATED EFFECT.

Do you like moldy clothes? Clothes with a deliberately worn-out design? We do, which is why you'll find slightly washed-out pieces in the BUSHMAN collections. Why? Who knows, maybe because there's a bit of rebellion hidden in them😉.

In the past, the washed-out effect was mainly achieved by using chlorine. But admit it – this technique doesn't really correspond to BUSHMAN's values. So we looked for other methods that would also be environmentally friendly. And we found them!

WASHED OUT DESATURATED EFFECT is a special washing process used to achieve a faded, worn look. It is created using innovative technology that consumes far less water and chemicals than conventional methods...

In collaboration with various industries, we are developing manufacturing processes that are more environmentally friendly. We focus primarily on processes such as dyeing and washing, where it is possible to reduce water consumption to a very low ratio of 1:3 chemical to water (by comparison, conventional processes require a chemical to water ratio of 1:6 to 1:10. Simply put, this means that we have managed to reduce water consumption by 50-70% compared to conventional processes! Thanks to the use of sustainable chemicals and low water consumption, we achieve green values in the EIM-SCORE measurement system.

The EIM-SCORE system is used to assess the environmental impact of industrial laundering. This assessment includes water and energy consumption and the use of chemicals, but also takes into account the health and safety of workers. The results are divided into three categories—green, orange, and red—according to the degree of environmental friendliness.
